How to Generate Prospects & Leads Online for FREE with Paid Ads—Even If Your Company’s Comp Plan Sucks!

What if I told you that you could generate prospects and leads 100% for free using paid advertising?

Now, you might be thinking, “Wait….what does that even mean? How could you generate free leads with paid advertising?”

But hear me out.

Because what I’m about to share an old, tried, true, and tested method of effectively getting your advertising paid for, fully funded—even making a profit—and building your list, for free…

…all without having to prospect, recruit, sell, or really have to do anything with your network marketing company.

Seriously…

There’s no networking, no cold-calling, and no face-to-face meetings required!

Now, you’re probably wondering how this makes any sense.

Isn’t the whole point of network marketing to recruit and sell?

Well, yes it is.

But there’s an easier way to do it.

Don’t believe me? It’s quite simple and I’ll show you how in just a moment.

But first, let’s first make some important distinctions between network marketing comp plans and direct selling compensation plans.

Understanding “comp plans”

The comp plan is part of every company, and it determines the strategy of every team in the industry, but it’s something that’s not talked about much in the world of network marketing.

People think that you have to recruit as many people as you possibly can in order to be successful in network marketing.

That’s not true!

  1. You’re not paid to recruit, so recruiting a bunch of people is not going to get you where you want to go.
  2. The structure of the comp plan is going to determine your marketing strategy.

That’s what top earners know!

They define their business-building strategy based on a comp plan.

But we’re going to talk about how to make the comp plan irrelevant.

The problem with most MLM comp plans is that you don’t make enough money.

Period.

Plus, you’re paying money upfront just to have access to the tools that are meant to help you recruit.

When network marketing isn’t made simple

This is what happens…

Somebody joins the business and then might buy some product.

You can only make money from the product that they purchase.

However, what you get paid isn’t enough to cover your operating cost or your advertising.

That’s why most network marketers end up spending too much money and then not making enough back in return…

  • You’re paying for ownership, autoship, and company functions
  • You’re paying for tools (DVDs, brochures) to educate yourself and help you recruit people
  • Maybe you also pay to have access to an online membership site or website

The debt goes on and on!

You’re already so deep in the hole that even if you recruit five to ten people you actually haven’t made your money back.

Again, that’s because you don’t get paid in this industry to recruit.

You get paid on the amount of volume you sell.

And people might not be buying enough to help cover your your operating and advertising costs.

How direct selling differs from network marketing

Direct selling is a little different because the focus is on getting people to buy the product.

These types of comp plans aren’t as deep as network marketing comp plans and usually pay a lot more upfront.

If you bring in a new person, that person has to buy the product in order to join, meaning you get paid a hefty commission on that purchase.

This is how you’re able to afford to operate your business and cover advertising costs.

That’s the advantage of direct sales.

You make more upfront.

The disadvantage is that there isn’t as much potential for residual income.

You only make money if the people immediately under you are buying from you.

You’re not paid “deep,” meaning…

You’re not paid on multiple levels

That’s the difference between direct sales and MLM.

With MLM you count on the growth of your organization so you can earn some residuals, and it’s more stable.

With direct sales you get paid more upfront on your efforts, but you don’t get paid on multiple levels.

In some cases, with direct sales you can get paid on two levels, and maybe up to five levels, but that’s it.

Most of the money is being made upfront.

There’s always another comp plan

There are also “hybrid” comp plans that are network marketing-esque.

These plans are different because they’ve figured out a way to pay more up front so you can cover your operating costs.

The point is that there are challenges we deal with when we’re involved in different comp plans.

My friend Kevin Latmore is an expert on comp plans.

He could give you the low-down on every single comp plan and tell you which ones are better.

Solving the dilemma of being paid to move product

Whatever the case, I imagine most of you are involved in a marketing company where you don’t make much money up front for bringing in a new person.

The idea of advertising probably scares the crap out of you because you don’t think you can make your money back.

This is especially true if you’re already not making your money back from all the tools you’re investing in.

So you’re not making enough up front, and you’re not paid to recruit.

That’s the issue:

You’re paid to move product.

There’s two solutions to this problem…

One is simple.

Utilize social media recruiting strategies to make headway in your business.

This will allow you to grow your organization, so that you don’t have to invest in advertising.

To do this you’re utilizing the warm contacts in your social media feeds.

Social media recruiting is a great way for you to start.

To learn more about how you can implement social media recruiting strategies…

Download this free guide right now.

It was created by my friend Julie Burke, a multiple six-figure earner in network marketing, who personally sponsored 270+ reps and grew a team of 8,300 distributors, all from the comfort of her home in just 3 years.

Julie built 80% of her organization using social media, and 80% of her organization also uses social media themselves to recruit online as well.

You’ll learn how to expand your personal networks so that you’re not worried about only trying to recruit your friends and family.

But there’s also another solution.

And it’s the solution I personally used when I first got online, once I learned the how to create a “funded proposal” (which some people call a “self-liquidating offer.”)

Here’s the concept…

What if you could get paid to generate prospects and leads for your business?

That’s the purpose of a funded proposal (and is what I teach in my free 10-day online recruiting bootcamp.)

How does it work?

Well, the idea is to get paid, even if nobody joins your business.

And when you build your business this way, it doesn’t matter how good you are at sponsoring and recruiting.

Because here’s the bottom line…

You’re only going to recruit a fraction of the people you prospect

If you’re REALLY good at prospecting then you should expect to recruit about five percent of the people that you talk to.

Really.

That’s just how the numbers work.

A certain percentage of the people you talk to will show an interest, and a percentage of those people will want to learn more, and a final percentage of those people will actually join the the business.

Again, this comes out to about five percent.

So what do you do with the 95% who didn’t join?

Is there a way for you to monetize those people so that you can actually make more money, cover you your operating costs, and cover your advertising costs?

The answer is absolutely yes!

That’s the idea of a “funded proposal.”

You make money from the “no’s.”

Rather than making your network marketing company the focus of everything, you need to come up with contingencies.

Because if your network marketing business is not a fit, then you might have something else to direct them to, based on what you hear them say about their goals and aspirations.

That’s what we teach here at EMP, using attraction marketing to monetize the people who say, “No.”

This process hinges on selling a product upfront, before you try to recruit anyone.

Selling your own product is the secret

One way is to sell your company product, and you can do that if there’s enough retail margin.

Another way is to sell a congruent product that’s information-based like an eBook, video, or membership.

You can actually sell a product upfront to ALL your leads before you even talk to them about your business.

The product just needs to be related to the thing they came in to initially learn about.

Now some of you are thinking…

“Wait, if somebody came in to learn about my network marketing business, why would I sell them something else? That doesn’t make any sense.”

Well, think about this…

The best recruiters don’t lead by saying…

“Hey you wanna join my network marketing business?”

The best recruiters lead with addressing their prospect’s problem(s)

Maybe your prospects need more income, or to lose weight, or get better skin.

They are coming to you with a problem.

So, if you can sell your prospects something, which is relatively cheap and offers great value, it will not only help them with their problem, but if implemented correctly, will also accomplish three things:

  • One, they’re giving you money upfront, which covers your advertising costs, so your prospect was generated for free.
  • Two, they’re paying you to qualify them and their problem by saying, “yes,” which shows you the person is really interested.
  • Three, your product is designed to educate them about the value of working with you, which enrolls them further into the possibility of joining your business.

That’s how you get paid to recruit people, by using a product YOU control (or have a big stake in) so that you can make enough money upfront to continue advertising.

That’s how a funded proposal works and is the secret I first used to go to six-figures in network marketing and is also how I’ve make millions of dollars online since.

Now this might sound intimidating to set up for yourself, but my 10-day online recruiting bootcamp will walk you through the process, start to finish.

What’s even better is that you’ll benefit from having almost complete automation in your business.

That means you’ll not only passively gain prospects, but they’ll pay for themselves.

Plus, I also reveal how I use this strategy to generate 300-500 leads per day, 30-50 customers per day, and recruit 70-100 serious biz-builders into my business each month!
